What is PPE?

PPE stands for ‘Personal Protective Equipment’, and this term essentially refers to anything that you wear to protect yourself in hazardous conditions. PPE is usually provided by your employer if it is needed in the workplace, but it is always good to have an understanding of what PPE is available and when it is appropriate to use it. PPE can include anything from safety helmets to gloves and eye protection! Here are some examples from our own PPE equipment section:

Hardhats

Dust Masks & Respirators

This is just a small sample of what you’ll find in our PPE section; as previously mentioned, this term covers just about anything you wear to improve your personal safety, and so there are dozens of different items for all kinds of industries.
