How many people are needed for a rescue? = Single person use. The Gotcha is for raising or lowering a single casualty by a single rescuer
When can it be used? = Suitable for rescue of a suspended casualty from a Fall Arrest Lanyard and or Fall Arrest Block
Is it possible to drop the casualty? = This is a no-cut kit. The casualty is raised to release their original attachment, so there is no risk of accidental release
Do you have to lower the casualty, or can they be lifted to safety? = Rescue can be in either direction. You can raise or lower the casualty to safety with this kit
Do I need to remember how to assemble the kit before a rescue? = No assembly is required by rescuer, because the kit is pre-assembled
Do I need to be able to reach the casualty? = No, the remote attachment pole allows you to reach the length of a fully deployed fall arrest lanyard from a point of safety
Is it difficult to remember how to set up the rescue kit? = No, the kit is colour coded for simplicity and the anchor sling is normally secured to the casualty's own anchor point
