More Info about MSA Safety Products
MSA stands for Mine Safety Appliances, and this name hints at the company's origins. In 1912, a mine in West Virginia exploded, killing more than eighty workers; this prompted mine engineer John T. Ryan to look for a way to prevent similar disasters in the future.
With the help of a colleague named George Deike and the famous American inventor Thomas Edison, Ryan created the electric cap lamp. This product reduced mine explosions by a staggering 75% in the years that followed.
Since then, MSA Safety equipment has helped protect lives and assist people all over the world to work safely. SafetyLiftinGear is proud to be an approved distributor of MSA Safety products.
