Telescopic cylinders are devices that function on either a hydraulic or pneumatic system, and their primary purpose is to provide an exceptionally long output travel for their otherwise very compact retracted length. Telescopic cylinders are commonly used in construction trucks, vehicle trailers, and a range of agricultural equipment.
While both pneumatic and hydraulic systems have their benefits, hydraulic systems are more accurate (in that they allow a more precise control of actuation) and can create a greater force than pneumatic systems.
