Ladder Safety Equipment

These ladder safety kits include everything you need to stay safe and secure while working at height with the assistance of a ladder.

Falls from ladders result in a large number of injuries and even fatalities ever year, so it's important to minimise the risk of an accident by using the correct ladder safety equipment while working at height.

Our ladder safety kits allow you to attach yourself to the ladder you're using, and to attach the ladder itself to the wall it's leaning on.

Choose from the following ladder safety kit options:

Should you be using one of our ladder safety kits?

Our ladder safety equipment is ideal for anyone who uses a ladder on a regular basis. We recommend investing in a ladder safety kit if you frequently use a ladder to undertake any of the following tasks:

  • Window cleaning
  • Painting and decorating
  • Installing cavity wall insultation
  • Security system installation / maintenance
  • Pest control services
  • Cable clipping
  • Telecom installation

If you require a more complex height safety system to protect you and/or workers, please contact SafetyLiftinGear today - we are highly experienced in the design and installation of such solutions, and we would be more than happy to discuss your requirements with you.

Ladder safety tips

In addition to using the correct ladder safety equipment, you should follow these rules in order to stay safe while using a ladder:

  • Inspect your ladder carefully before each use. If you notice any signs of damage, do not use the ladder as it may be unsafe.

  • Make sure the ladder is stable. Stand the ladder on a firm, stable surface that is able to support it. Ensure that all locking mechanisms are engaged and that there is nothing nearby that might cause the ladder to tip over (e.g. a closed door that could hit the ladder if opened).

  • Go slowly when climbing up and down a ladder. Take your time - rushing makes you more likely to slip and fall.

  • Maintain three points of contact with the ladder at all times. For example, both feet and one hand.

  • Avoid using ladders in poor weather conditions. Rain can make the rungs / treads of your ladder dangerously slippery, while strong gusts of wind could blow the ladder over.
