The screw pin shackle design is ideal for a wide range of heavy lifting jobs. These shackles are normally used in conjunction with a Wire Rope Sling or similar; the shackle provides a strong, secure attachment point between the sling and the load being lifted.
Attaching and fastening a screw pin shackle is simple. Place the shackle on the load, then screw in the pin provided to create a secure connection. If you want an extra layer of security, you may be interested in our deluxe Safety Pin Shackles.
What's the difference between a D shackle and a bow shackle?
D shackles (also known as dee shackles or chain shackles) are shaped like the letter D, wheras bow shackles look more like a letter O.
D shackles are great for lifting at a flat angle, but may become damaged if used to lift at a sideways angle. Bow shackles have a rounded shape that makes them better suited for side loading.
